Before launching the game this morning, i added both partitions of my hard drive to the exclusion list of Windows Defender. Hmmm. I've reinstalled directX 2 times now. An error occurred during the installation of assembly"Microsoft. Used it and after that both DoW and DoW Winter Assault worked...
