Dunno if that helps. I've played some games for 3-4 hours before it hangs; other times it hangs with a minute of startup. It was a problem with the cpu overheating. Then having the game determine if the CPU is a "problem CPU" and only default frame capping those? What you are observing is obviously unacceptably behaviour, but may well be due to some extension or the multiple plugin containers rather than Firefox itself. After uninstalling ESET, it would not hurt to run the chkdsk /r command on the Windows partition.

The Task mgr only records a snapshot of CPU useage every 15ms and apps which run short threads and exit or use hidden features or consume a lot of hidden time It is a bit of an assumption that all users of a particular CPU would have an issue.
